District Judge Barbara Barnes ordered him to pay an £86,000 fine, and suspended him to a 20-month driving ban, which could be shortened to 15 months on completion of an awareness course.

The reporter put the incident down to the media crowd gathering outside of the court, and the busy atmosphere.

The statement said: "I appreciate people in the public eye should provide a positive example".

McPartlin, 41, was reported to have failed a police breathalyzer test, with the court being told Monday that his blood-alcohol level was more than double the legal limit.

The court heard in a statement to police, Ant said: "I am very sorry I did this".

Meanwhile a witness statement from a driver of one of the two cars involved in the collision with McPartlin said that he and his wife "could have died as a result of Mr McPartlin's reckless driving".

France convinced Trump to stay in Syria, says Macron
He also claimed credit for convincing his United States counterpart Donald Trump to stay engaged in the conflict long-term. Six of those resolutions would have condemned the regime for chemical weapons attacks.

Missile Strikes Against Syria Not For Regime Change: Theresa May
In conflicts, there are rules about what's acceptable - and chemical weapons are never supposed to be used. The group said it "strongly condemned" the action and accused May of "sanctioning killing" at U.S.

Prosecutor Katie Sinnett-Jones told Wimbledon Magistrates' Court that the incident happened when McPartlin drove around a "sharp bend and lost control", then ended up on the wrong side of the road.

Speaking briefly outside the court following sentencing McPartlin said: "I just want to say I'm truly sorry for what happened".

McPartlin's barrister Liam Walker said of his client to the court: 'He is sorry, but not sorry because he is here. "He hopes that in time he can make himself better and he might be forgiven by all the people he feels he has let down so terribly". I am truly sorry.

Walker added: "Through me, Mr McPartlin wishes to express both sorrow and regret over his actions. I'd like to apologise to everybody involved in the crash and I'm just thankful no one was seriously hurt". "I know the consequences [of the crash] could have been much worse".

After canceling an episode of "Saturday Night Takeaway" following McPartlin's arrest, ITV resumed the series for its final two installments - including a finale filmed at Universal Orlando in Florida - with McPartlin's co-host, Declan Donnelly, presenting solo for the first time.
