Nametags enable users to create special images that, when scanned with the camera in Instagram Stories, automatically prompt a follow, Techcrunch reports.

The details of this feature are yet to be finalized and Instagram did not go into any detail at the moment. The report claims that Zuckerberg was anxious that if they did not do something to change up the way Instagram is used, they might miss out on an entire generation of users. However, the feature will definitely be available and running on the Galaxy S7 Edge as well as Galaxy S8.

You can find it by click the camera in the top left hand corner of the screen and navigating to Focus, which is behind Superzoom and Rewind (at least in my app).

A lot of smartphones on the market today have a built-in portrait mode, which allows owners to blur the background of their photo for a more stylized look.

Instagram has introduced a new Focus mode to enhance portrait shooting through its app camera as part of its version 39 update on iOS and Android devices. Taking a photo or video using Focus mode still permits users of the feature to add filters, stickers or text once you've finished recording. Its new Focus camera adds the background blurring photo style to your selfies and photos, and is rolling out to users now. You can also rotate, scale and place your sticker wherever you'd like.

When asked about these claims, Facebook naturally denied them and responded by saying that the Instagram side "was not pressured" to clone Stories and that the decision was supposedly "internally" made. This feature is also likely to help the businesses and other prominent social media handles to promote their Instagram accounts. A successful Instagram can only be good for its mother company, Facebook because of how similar they are, Engadget notes.
