Self-Driving Uber Car Kills Arizona Pedestrian

Uber has said it is suspending self-driving auto tests in all United States cities after a fatal accident.

Uber has halted testing of its autonomous vehicles across North America, the company announced, after a woman was struck and killed by one of its self-driving cars in Tempe, Ariz. early Monday.

Tempe police say the self-driving Uber was in autonomous mode at the time of the collision and there was a vehicle operator behind the wheel. She was taken to a local hospital where she later died.
