
Thousands of commuters will face a major inconvenience due to the nationwide indefinite strike starting from Monday.
Maharashtra Navnirman Vahtuk Sena has called the strike claiming that several drivers are not being able to cover costs due to falling business. They will protest along with their families outside the offices of Uber and Ola, Naik told DNA earlier.
"Soon, we are planning to meet Transport Minister P. Mahender Reddy, top officials of the Transport department and cab aggregators to submit a representation of our demands", said Satti Reddy, general secretary, Telangana Cab Owners Association.
The Mumbai based Navnirman Vahatuk Sena has called for an indefinite strike from Sunday midnight against Uber and Ola. "If he does not listen, we may handle the issue MNS-style", he stated in media reports.
Other unions of Ola and Uber are also in support of the strike, Naik said.

The accused companiesiskeeping a distance from the matter said that they have been assured by the Mumbai Police regarding the safety of the commuters during the cab rides in the city.
