Video has emerged of passengers frantically racing to get off a Southwest Airlines 737 that had just made an emergency landing in Albuquerque.

Southwest flight 3562 had departed Phoenix Sky Harbor airport, bound for Dallas Love Field. Initial reports indicate five Customers requested an assessment by medical personnel.

Passengers were put on another aircraft in New Mexico to continue to their final destination.

Southwest officials added that the diverted aircraft will remain in Albuquerque until their mechanics inspect and clear its return to service.

An "unusual smell" in the cabin prompted the emergency landing, KXAS-TV reported.

Firefighters rushed to the tarmac immediately after the plane landed.

There has been some talk that Cousins may want to sign only a three-year deal with all of the money being guaranteed. Cousins has thrown for over 4,000 yards in each of his last three seasons, tossing 81 touchdowns during that time.

The smoke and smell were caused by an electrical fire. Passengers were carefully removed from the flight and driven to the terminal via transport buses.

The fire department said two people were brought to local hospitals but did not reveal the nature of their injuries.

According to ABC affiliate KOAT, the people onboard the plane described the experience as scary. Then, flight attendants began telling everyone on-board they would be making an emergency landing and to keep their heads down.

Southwest is the largest airline operating out of Tampa International Airport.

This is a developing story.

The plane was forced to land at Albuquerque International Sunport after what might have been an electrical fire.
