Students stage 'lie-in' at White House to protest against gun violence

Washington, D.C. (United States), Feb 20 (ANI): Dozen of students staged a "lie-in" demonstration in front of the White House to protest against gun violence in schools after a gunman killed 17 people at a Florida high school. The protesters are holding their arms crossed at their chests.

Across the country, students are mobilizing to create change in light of last week's school shooting in Parkland, Florida that left 17 dead and many injured.

"The people in the government who are voted into power are lying to us. Every day when I say "bye" to my parents, I do acknowledge the fact that I could never see my parents again".

They also said, "We call on our national and state legislatures to finally act responsibly and reduce the number of these tragic incidents".
