The application includes some misspellings and other interesting details. RR Auction

In today's technological world, which Steve Jobs had a hand in creating, it's hard to imagine someone writing, "None" next to an entry for "phone" on a job application. "When asked about skills, he writes "yes (design, tech)" besides "Computer" and Calculator".

At the bottom of the page, he described his "Special Abilities" in a single sentence: "electronics tech or design engineer. digital. -from Bay near Hewitt-Packard [sic]". In the application, in the column for "Access to transportation?", Jobs has written "possible, but not probable".

The document doesn't reveal what position Jobs was applying for, The Daily Telegraph says, but it does provide a "snapshot into a tumultuous period" in the tech pioneer's life. Written for an unnamed position, the future Apple founder details his name as "Steven jobs", and address as "reed college"; an OR college he briefly attended.

Only 18 at the time, Jobs filled out the form seeking employment as an "electronics tech or design engineer" three years before co-founding Apple and ultimately going on to launch products including the iPod and iPhone.

Steve Jobs died of cancer in 2011.

He began his first IT job later in 1973 at Atari, where he worked closely with Steve Wozniak.

Jobs has said he was auditing courses in areas such as literature, dance and calligraphy, but the application shows an early interest in breaking into the high-tech industry. It is accompanied with letters of authenticity and bidding runs from March 8 to March 15. Other items available for bid include a signed newspaper clipping detailing a "New, faster iphone" that will "sell for $199" (those were the days) with an estimated worth of $15,000, and a signed Mac OS X technical manual from 2001, estimated at $25,000.
