Dananjaya, Herath spin Lanka to Test series win over B'desh

Perera and Herath picked a wicket each to reduce Bangladesh to 49 for 2

Bangladesh suffered another collapse as Sri Lanka won the second Test on Saturday, sealing the series 1-0.

Silva's fourth half-century in just his third Test held together the Sri Lanka second innings as the Bangladesh bowlers struck regularly on a pitch offering turn and bounce aplenty.

Meanwhile, Dilruwan Perera also chipped in with a wicket as Bangladesh were bundled out for 123, losing their last six wickets for only 23 runs.

Earlier, Roshen Silva led the batting charge as he remained unbeaten on 70 while Dimuth Karunaratne contributed with 32 runs as Sri Lanka posted an additional 226 in the second to set a huge target of 339 for Bangladesh. The visitors didn't need a second invitation, they won a big toss and although the batting didn't really match up, they made sure they had enough for their bowlers to come good.

Ryan said this is yet another example of Congress moving ahead on an agenda laid out by President Trump during the 2016 campaign. Instead, it's "congressional leaders" in Politico or "Senate leaders" at NBC News as far as the descriptions go.

Roshen Silva remained unbeaten on 70, adding 48 runs with fellow overnight batsman Suranga Lakmal for the ninth wicket to extend their lead on a hard pitch at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.

Dananjaya finished with 5-24 to take his match haul to eight wickets while experienced Rangana Herath claimed 4-49. They lost Mathews before the start of the first Test, but haven't put a foot wrong since then.

None of the other Bangladeshi batsmen were able to contribute much to the side's innings.

Sri Lanka complete the tour with two Twenty20 Internationals, the first of which is in Dhaka on Thursday.
