Mahrez not returning for Man City clash, confirms Puel

Leroy Sane was in good spirits as he continues he rehabilitation from his FA Cup injury

Leicester could certainly use his help against Man City but unleashing Mahrez after he had skipped training will no doubt leave Puel open for criticism and it's highly unlikely he will play any part at the Etihad Stadium.

Leicester City forward Riyad Mahrez will miss Saturday's game against Manchester City, the club he had hoped to join last month, his manager Claude Puel said on Thursday.

The Algeria global has not reported for training since a move to City fell through on transfer deadline day.

Mahrez has not played since 20 January.

"I hope Riyad can get his head right and to come back with us and to see for him the best way is to come back and enjoy his football".

"I think Riyad will be not available for the Saturday game against Manchester City".

PM Modi embarks on three-nation visit to Palestine, Oman and UAE
More than 9 million Indians work and live in the Gulf region, of which about one third live in the UAE alone. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reciprocated the gesture by visiting India in January this year.

Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez has returned to the club's training ground this morning, ending his self-imposed exile, Press Association Sport reports. He is a great player, the bad thing for me is he loves the football - it is not just a player playing football like work.

Manchester City met their demands in the final stages of the window, and yet Leicester rejected City's offer, which reportedly left Mahrez "disillusioned and depressed".

Mahrez, who also handed in a transfer request during the summer, missed Leicester's 1-1 draw against Swansea City on February 3. He loves his relationship with his friends and team mates.

Puel said: "I can understand all this speculation about the situation but I cannot comment on this, it is not right".

Some players are thought to be brassed off with the Algerian for his walkout but boss Puel says he doesn't envisage any problems once the player decides it's time to come back.
