The blasts occurred during Friday prayers at the small mosque located in the Majouri district, residents said. He also said that the two bombs were planted in separate rooms at the site of the mosque.

Libya descended into chaos after the 2011 uprising that toppled and killed ruler Moammar Gaddafi. But staging a vote is a major challenge in a country still split among military and political factions, and where rival governments have claimed authority since the result of a 2014 vote was disputed.
