Mickey Jones: 'Justified', 'Home Improvement' actor dead at 76

Mickey Jones, a veteran character actor who played Rodney "Hot Rod" Dunham on "Justified" and construction worker Pete on the 1990s sitcom "Home Improvement", has died. According to Jones' rep, he died at 2:17 a.m. on Wednesday, after a long illness. He played the drums, working with artists including Trini Lopez, Johnny Rivers, Kenny Rogers, and The First Edition.

He was also behind the kit for Bob Dylan's legendary 1966 show at the Manchester Free Trade Hall when the singer-songwriter was called "Judas" by an audience member for switching to electric guitar.

Jones' musical career lasted more than two decades, amassing more than a dozen Gold-certified records in that time.
