Singer Dolores O'Riordan's sudden death in London, England, on Monday is not being treated as suspicious, London's Metropolitan Police tells ET. According to a statement from her publicist, O'Riordan was in London for a short recording session.

The Irish singer was in London to record vocals for a cover of The Cranberries' hit "Zombie" by the Los Angeles rock band Bad Wolves.

"The people who found her said they found her in the toilet", the hotel worker explained. She did not confirm the identity of the person found.

Aedin Ní Bhriain, principal of Dolores's old school Laurel Hill Coláiste, paid tribute to a much-loved former pupil: "She was heavily involved in music throughout her years in the school and even when she made a decision to marry she invited the school choir to sing at the wedding".

The Cranberries lead singer Dolores O'Riordan at the Vatican Christmas Concert in 2005.

"For anyone who grew up in Ireland in the 1990s, the Cranberries were an iconic band, who captured all of the angst that came with your teenager years", he said in a statement. Their guitarbased sound had an alternative rock edge at a time when grunge was storming the music scene. The music icon was found dead in her hotel room in London on Monday, Jan. 15.

The Cranberries formed in the Irish city of Limerick at the end of the 1980s and had global hits in the '90s with songs including "Dream", "Linger" and "Zombie".

PLANS for the funeral of Irish singer Dolores O' Riordan are underway but final details for her funeral mass are yet to be finalised.

"The suddenness of her death has been a shock." he said. She had the most fantastic voice and presence.

The Cranberries , formed in 1989 but went on a hiatus in 2003. "We just needed a break".

She and Burton, a Canadian who previously worked as Duran Duran's tour manager, separated that same year. The kids are, like, "What's for dinner?"

"I had a great kind of flow, whereupon there was no pressure", she said. She hit the headlines in 2014 after pleading guilty to assaulting three police officers and a flight attendant during a flight from NY to Ireland, and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder shortly afterwards.

O'Riordan had to cancel one of her professional tours with the reunited Cranberries in 2017 because of her back problem; whether that had anything to do with her sudden demise is yet unsure.

Her last Twitter post on January 3 said she was travelling to Ireland after coming to Toronto for the Christmas holidays.

"Hi All, Dolores here".

In December, O'Riordan posted a message on the band's Facebook page.
