'I'll beat Oprah' says Donald Trump on 2020 election. Can he?

"I was up talking to her very late last night". I did one of her last shows.

President Trump said "I don't think she's going to run" and boasted he would beat her if she did. President Donald Trump then commented that, while he likes Oprah, he doesn't think she will run but it would be fun if she did.

Trump, who has lauded Winfrey as worthy of the vice presidency, dismissed her Tuesday as a threat, albeit cordially. "Those under 40 are far more likely to choose Winfrey over Trump as the nation's next president than their elders are".

But he added that if she does run, he'd beat her.

'But that would be something she would have to determine and lay out if she made a decision to run and what the campaign would look like, ' Trump's spokeswoman said.

"Oh.'" Now, however, after the same rumor swirled once again the wake of her appearance at the awards show, Gayle King, Oprah's BFF and O editor-at-large, has denied that the beloved icon is seriously considering running for president in the 2020 election.

Winfrey's speech also referenced the #MeToo movement to protest sexual harassment and assault. When asked if she was running, her long-time partner Stedman Graham told a Los Angeles Times reporter Sunday night, "It's up to the people ..." Why do people say that? 'She would absolutely do it'.

And Oprah is "actively thinking" about running for president, two of her close friends told CNN on Monday. Their vote for Trump would give 66 percent to Republicans, 12 percent to Democrats and 38 percent to "independent" voters.

There's recently been interest in a future President Oprah Winfrey.

The Hollywood elite gathered Sunday to celebrate itself with the Golden Globes, and it was everything you'd expect from the self-serving awards show: Political, pedantic and pathetic as ever. Could she be the kind of celebrity politician who might unite the nation and move us forward in a way that we could not imagine? "I do think this though guys, I do think she's intrigued by the idea, I do think that".

Seal has slammed Oprah Winfrey on social media, claiming the former talk show host knew all about sexual misconduct allegations against Harvey Weinstein but chose to ignore them for years, Fox News reported. "That's how he interpreted the question", King said. "I mean, I have a lot of things going, she's got a lot of things going". "He would never do that".

Just imagine the relief you'll feel if Oprah stood at the podium and said a meaningful piece like her Golden Globes speech. "Listen, she writes her "What I Know for Sure" column every month in the magazine". You know why they say this?

Hollywood - and the hard core Left - would love nothing more than for Oprah to run in 2020.

Mr Swanson, who retired in 2016 after a 60-year career in United States television, said he could see why the Democratic Party would be interested in an attractive candidate such as Winfrey. During her speech, Winfrey recalled watching Sidney Poitier win at the Golden Globes for 1964's Lilies of the Field and how it was the first time she saw a black man celebrated on television.
