Paisley holds one-shot lead in South African Open

Strong finish propels Grace into SA Open contention

Paisley carded a two-under-par 70 to move to 15-under after 54 holes but he has the South African ace breathing down his neck after the world number 30 signed a for a six-under-par 66 at Glendower Golf Club.

Chris Paisley will take a narrow one-shot lead into the final day's play of the BMW SA Open as Branden Grace moved into second position with a blemish-free back nine.

Koepka returned a one-under-par 71 along with joint overnight leader Branden Grace. But then he found the form that saw him make three eagles in a stunning first round of 65.

Grace, a South African, had a haywire front nine that included two eagles, two birdies and two bogeys.

Zach Johnson and Chris Kirk each made seven birdies and shared the lead in the Sony Open. I was quite aggressive with the three-wood and I managed to knock it about 25 feet and managed to roll in the putt. "I'm just really excited about it".

Chasing Paisley and Grace on Sunday will be a three-man group at 12-under-par, three off the pace. "After a seven-week break, when I came out to practice on Tuesday morning and in the pro-am in the afternoon, I didn't really hit it great", he said."I was very rusty". The only one I was really aggressive with was the second hole.

"At the moment it is weird - I feel like I did not play incredible golf".

With two rounds left, Paisley is hoping the trend of English champions in this championship works in his favour as well.

Harry Winks missing for Spurs against Everton
There has been an impressive roster of players to have fallen from Tottenham's academy conveyor belt in recent years. He loves Tottenham and everyone wants to win - us, the club, Daniel, the players, the fans.

Defending champion Graeme Storm of England, who pipped golf superstar Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland in a play-off past year to win the second oldest national championship after the British Open, carded a 75. I could have been eight-under for the round but instead I was six shots back.

Young South African Jacques Kruyswijk is their nearest challenger on nine under par after a 67 and in what is his rookie season on the European Tour.

Koepka began with a bogey and added three more.

For Grace, who has won eight times in Europe and once in the US, it is just a matter of keeping the momentum from his Nedbank Golf Challenge win the last time he played in South Africa, in November.

Koepka, the brother of PGA Tour campaigner and US Open champion Brooks Koepka, was delighted with his round after he opened with a bogey.

Five-time European Tour victor Darren Fichardt of South Africa is alone in sixth on 205 after a 64, the lowest score of the day, and bettered only by Saddier this week.

Canada's Mike Weir failed to make the cut.
