Judge: DACA can't end with lawsuit pending

In December, the Senate's bipartisan working group asked White House Chief of Staff John Kelly to tell them what the administration would need in a DACA deal for the president to sign it.

"I feel very positive we're moving in the right direction", Senator Dick Durbin, D-Ill., the lead Democrat in the talks, noted.

The details of the deal - which was agreed upon by Sens. "It's a bipartisan proposal which we've worked on for four months in the Senate, and I don't know what happens next". We are at a deal. "It's different. So that's easier for the other side to accept", Flake said. But the bill does contain much of what the president has said he wants to see in an immigration bill: a plan to fund the border wall and to end the chain migration system as well as the visa lottery program.

An immigration package "must be part of a global deal on the budget", Schumer said. "[The border wall] was not properly funded, Chain & Lottery were made worse and United States of America would be forced to take large numbers of people from high crime countries which are doing badly". The ruling, which is certain to be appealed, also said the government does not have to accept applications from those not now covered by DACA. "I think the message has now been delivered that we need to get everybody at the table and we'll take the best of their ideas".

Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., a skeptic on looser immigration rules who joined Graham at the White House, said there's no broader deal yet and that Trump sent congressional negotiators back to the "drawing board".

Friday, he denied that he used the term to describe some migrants' countries - including Haiti and El Salvador.

Canada launches global trade complaint vs United States over use of duties — NewsAlert
If fully implemented, the resulting hardship could lead to thousands of job losses in the newspaper industry. It also accuses the USA of using a trade-panel voting system that's biased against foreigners.

"It just shows everyone how broken and unfair our Court System is when the opposing side in a case (such as DACA) always runs to the 9th Circuit and nearly always wins before being reversed by higher court", Trump wrote. "What was really tough was the outlandish proposal made - a big setback for DACA!" - referring to his remarks.

"This should be a bipartisan bill", Trump said during the meeting. "Probably should record future meetings - unfortunately, no trust!"

Trump was flanked at the table by Durbin and Rep. Steny Hoyer, D-Md., the highest ranking Democrats in the room, which is why they got those seats.

"An issue of this magnitude must go through the normal legislative process", Sanders said.

He continued. "We'll do DACA, and then we can certainly start comprehensive immigration reform the following afternoon".

According to NBC News, a federal judge on Tuesday night ordered the Trump administration to revive part of the program that protected people who were illegally brought to the United States as children from being deported, calling the administration's abrupt decision to end the program previous year "arbitrary, capricious and an abuse of discretion". But the 9th circuit judge's decision is clear in one thing: it puts a wrench in the Trump administration's plans to end the program for these so-called "DREAMers".
