Security forces arrest LeT terrorist wanted in 2000 Red Fort fidayeen attack from Delhi airport

"Bilal's brother, Niyaz Ahmad Kawa, resides in Delhi".

An alleged LeT militant and a suspect in the 2000 Red Fort attack case, Bilal Ahmed Kawa, was on Thursday sent to 10-day police custody by a Delhi court.

He was detained in the evening from the Delhi Airport and his questioning is underway, the police said.

Could Amazon really acquire Target?
Last month, CFRA bank analyst Ken Leon wrote that he foresees the Internet company buying a small- or mid-sized bank in 2018. Amazon has not publicly hinted at a possible acquisition of Target , so take it with a grain of salt for now.

According to Kawa's cousin Hina, the terror suspect went to the national capital to meet his wife and daughter, who went to Delhi to spend the winter. Pramod Kushwah, deputy commissioner of police (special cell), said, "We arrested the suspect after it was confirmed that he was the same man we had been looking for in the Red Fort terrorist shootout case".

Kawa had been hiding in the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir since the December 22, 2000, attack when an unknown number of attackers opened indiscriminate fire inside the heavily guarded Red Fort, police said.

The Indian Express reported that Kawa told the police that he had changed his location frequently since the attack but was living in Kashmir for the time being.

Police sources said about 3 million rupees ($47,100) were wired to Kawa's bank account to fund the attack by Mohammad Arif (alias Ashfaq Ahmed), who was handed the death penalty in 2005.
