Harry Potter Mobile Game Will Turn Users Into Hogwarts Students

There's a Harry Potter narrative-based RPG in the works

Interactive Entertainment, announced a licensing agreement to create Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, the first game in which players can create their own character and experience life as a Hogwarts student.

An exact release date hasn't been revealed just yet, but Jam City has said the game will be released next year. This is a new label under Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment for gaming media related to the Harry Potter franchise. If you're a fan of the world of wizardry then you'll also be pleased to learn that a new mobile Harry Potter mobile RPG is now being developed by Warner Bros.

On Dec. 12, a little over a month after we found out that there would be an augmented reality-based Harry Potter game coming next year, we got the long-awaited, much-desired (and superexciting!) news that Harry Potter fans everywhere have been waiting on for years: 2018 will also be the year in which we finally get a Hogwarts-based game. For 20 years now, the series of novels and film adaptations from Warner Bros. have transported generations of fans to the Wizarding World, turning Harry Potter into one of pop culture's most profitable franchises.
