California wildfires temporarily shut down production of HBO show

'SWAT' and 'Westworld' Halt Production Due to California Wildfires

'Safety of cast and crew come first.

HBO's "Westworld" and CBS's "S.W.A.T." suspended filming on Tuesday as multiple wildfires burn in and around Los Angeles County. Jerry Brown, governor of Ventura County, has declared a state of emergency in the area.

Both series film in Santa Clarita, which is experiencing the 500-acre Rye Fire, prompting the closure of the 5 Freeway in both directions.

The S.W.A.T. writers' room tweeted that filming was stopped "due to wildfires and unsafe air near our stages".

Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma to tie the knot?
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have been dating each other since 2013 after they met during the shoot of a television commercial. When contacted, Anushka's spokesperson said, "There is absolutely no truth to it (rumours of marriage)".

A staff for the studio revealed that their Internet connection has been down due to the fire. It flared up around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning near Newhall Ranch Road, just north of the San Fernando Valley. "It's a very hard moment, but we will get through this", Garcetti said. Hopefully, the fires can be contained and filming will be able to resume in the near future.

Westworld is now filming its second season.

The series was one of HBO's biggest hits in 2016, and while the series was quickly renewed, development on a second season has taken longer than most shows (not surprising, considering that the development on the first season was said to have issues of its own).

The dystopian show is now filming its second season in an area close to the fires, but producers were concerned about the danger to actors and crew.
