Burnley boss Sean Dyche says Robbie Brady's surgery was a success

Brady ruled out for

Burnley have been dealt their second huge injury blow of the season after Robbie Brady was ruled out for a lengthy period with a patellar knee tendon injury.

In the moments that followed the injury, it was evident that there was immediate concern for the Irish worldwide and, after Brady was stretchered off the pitch, Burnley manager Sean Dyche stated that he instantly had the feeling that the injury was "more serious than not serious".

Ireland worldwide Brady, who has scored once and provided two assists in 15 league appearances for Burnley this campaign, was carried off the pitch on a stretcher during last weekend's 1-0 defeat at Leicester City.

"We're very happy with the work that has been done", said Dyche.

"T hat was the aim at the start of the season, as well as getting results of course - can we make the group stronger?"

"I'm fully expecting whoever we play to keep playing their part and add to what we're doing". It always amazes me how nowadays they get these lads through these operations and before you know it they are walking around the training ground. It's an on-going thing for us, recruitment.
