Billy Bush reaffirms Trump 'Access Hollywood' tape is real

After 'Grab Em By the Pussy' Comment, Billy Bush Will Return to TV For First Time

"President Trump is now indulging in some revisionist history, reportedly telling allies, including at least one United States senator, that the voice on the tape is not his", he wrote.

"I believe her", says Bush of Anderson's account of Trump allegedly groping her in a NY nightclub in the 1990s.

President Trump reportedly told a senator earlier this year that the infamous recording in which he can be heard boasting about groping and kissing women without their consent may not be authentic, and repeated that claim recently to an adviser.

Bush penned an opinion piece for the New York Times in which he wrote: "Of course he said it".

"He said it", Bush wrote. "We laughed along, without a single doubt that this was hypothetical hot air from America's highest-rated bloviator". "Every single one of us assumed we were listening to a crass standup act", Bush wrote. Bush said he was "performing" and no one really, "thought it was real". None of us were guilty of knowingly enabling our future president.

Multiple people have confirmed that the tape is accurate, including current "Access Hollywood" hosts Natalie Morales and Kit Hoover and former Trump deputy campaign manager David Bossie on "Meet the Press" Sunday. But, he says, after time wore on and multiple women accused Trump of sexual assault, he began to see Trump's statements on the tape as more than just braggadocios pontificating.

Bush, who was fired by NBC for making vulgar comments about women with Trump, recalled the incident for The Times. "This has hit a raw nerve in me".

The announcement that Bush will be taping an interview with Colbert comes on the heels of the "Access Hollywood" video coming back into public light after recent reports that Trump has denied the authenticity of the footage. I can only imagine how it has reopened the wounds of the women who came forward with their stories about him, and did not receive enough attention. He continues: "This country is now trying to reconcile itself to years of power abuse and sexual misconduct".

"I've never said I'm a flawless person, nor pretended that I'm someone that I'm not", he said.

There is a regretful tone in his article as he says "Today is about reckoning and reawakening, and I hope it reaches all the guys on the bus".

'You have my respect and admiration.
