Beyonce tops 2017 list of highest-paid women in music

The Richest Woman In Music Has Been Revealed & It Ain’t Taylor Swift

It's no secret that it's been a stellar year for performers like Beyoncé, Adele, and Taylor Swift.

Forbes released their annual list of the World's Highest Paid Women in Music on Monday, and we now know exactly where all our female faves stand commercially (suffice to say, there will be no off-brand toilet paper for these folks-Charmin e'ry day). The substantial boost was a result of her critically acclaimed hit album Lemonade, as well as the Formation World Tour, which reportedly grossed a quarter of a billion dollars. The "Hello" singer's first tour since 2011, which scored roughly seven-figures per night, helped her capture $69 million in 2017, which is still more than $30 below Beyonce. Dolly Parton came in at No. 6 with $37 million; Rihanna at No. 7 with $36 million, while Britney Spears took the No. 8 slot with $34 million.
