Pakistan Spinner Saeed Ajmal Announces Retirement

Saeed Ajmal to announce retirement from all formats

One of the biggest matchwinners produced by Pakistan cricket, mystery spinner Saeed Ajmal has made a decision to retire from all forms of cricket post the ongoing National Twenty20 tournament in Rawalpindi.

"I am quitting all forms of cricket after the current National Twenty20 tournament", the spinner broke the retirement news over the phone. The last phase was frustrating.

In T20Is, he boasts 85 wickets in 64 matches. He ended, ultimately, with 178 wickets from 35 Tests at an average of 28.10; under Misbah, however, he took 141 wickets in just 26 Tests.

"I had decided this beforehand because I will be serving as a spin coaching with Islamabad in the PSL", Ajmal told The Express Tribune.

Public Urged to Use Antibiotics Responsibly
They will also help in identifying the bacteria that make people sick and specific groups that are at risk. Antibiotics can be life-saving when used appropriately, but their misuse can result in dire consequences.

He played 113 ODIs for Pakistan, a lot of them before he was asked to remodel his action, and bagged 184 wickets at an average of 22.72 with a strike rate of 32.6. He was reported for an illegal action twice in his worldwide career and it clouded somewhat the sheer potency of his doosra, a delivery he used to devastating effect. Subsequent tests found that his elbow straightened well beyond 15 degrees when delivering both the off spinner and doosra.

With Yasir Shah finding a regular place in the national team and several other younger bowlers in limited-overs, Ajmal's future at the highest level has looked bleak.

However, he became a declining force once he was reported for a suspect action and subsequently banned from bowling in late 2014.

Returning from a suspension, Ajmal played two ODIs in Bangladesh in 2015 with a reworked action, but he failed to impress.
