Packers RB Jones (MCL) to miss at least 3 weeks

Report Packers RB Aaron Jones sprained MCL in win

Green Bay Packers rookie standout Aaron Jones is expected to miss several weeks with an MCL injury, according ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

Jones was injured early in the Packers' game Sunday against the Bears at Soldier Field. He was carted back to the locker room and eventually ruled out with a knee injury. He had shined ever since being thrust into the starting lineup when fellow running backs Ty Montgomery and Jamaal Williams went down with their own respective injuries in the first season meeting against the Bears on September 28.

The Packers also may be without Montgomery, who reinjured his ribs on Sunday. He'll be expected to be the lead back if Montgomery can't go on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.

Says Cavill, "Geoff and I have been delving into the history of the character to get to the core of who Superman is". While he ponders his own future as the Dark Knight, the actor does see a timeliness in Justice League's arrival now.

Jones had three carries for 12 yards before leaving the action. Among the rushes were three Wildcat plays with receiver Randall Cobb taking the direct snap and rushing for minus-1, 6 and 3 yards on those plays. Rookie Jamaal Williams took over to start the second half and rushed 20 times for 67 yards. Missing all six weeks would leave him available for Week 17 against the Detroit Lions.

Green Bay selected Jones out of UTEP in the fifth round of the 2017 National Football League draft.
