Joe Biden: 'I'm Not Closing The Door' on 2020 Run

Former Vice President Joe Biden stopped by Today on Monday morning where he once again refused to rule out a 2020 presidential run, reasoning, "I'm not closing the door..."

"I honest to God haven't made up my mind about that", said Biden, who is promoting his memoir on Beau Biden, who died in 2015 from brain cancer.

Biden, who represented DE in the Senate for 36 years, has long given voice to the working class. In Promise Me, Dad, Joe Biden discusses the moment when President Obama offered financial assistance to his family in their time of greatest need. "I'm not doing anything to run", he said.

"But you're not closing the door?" host Savannah Guthrie asked Biden.

The former vice president and US Senator is making book tour rounds for the release of "Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship and objective".

Since leaving the White House, Biden has launched the political action committee American Possibilities and the Biden Foundation. His newly released book focuses on their relationship and dealing with his death. Biden had sought the Democratic presidential nomination for the 1988 and 2008 elections.

"I've done it a long time", the former senator from DE said.

According to the Independent, Biden has had 'stern words for Clinton.' Purportedly, he was never a major supporter of the failed Democrat candidate for the Presidency, although he campaigned relentlessly for her whilst on the campaign trail. Biden will be 76 by the time the next Presidential election comes around, just 2 years older than Trump will be at that time.

He does not regret sitting out the race "because it was the right decision for my family", Biden said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey Sunday.
