A 45-year-old woman reportedly died in firing by Pakistan at LoC in Mendhar

An army spokesperson said Pakistani forces resorted to "unprovoked firing" on an Indian army post in KG sector around 5pm.

In the exchange of fire, Naib Subedar Jagram Singh Tomar (42), resident of Madhya Pradesh, was grievously injured and later succumbed to injuries, the spokesman said.

This comes just hours after a security personnel was injured when militants attacked an army camp in Kupwara district of Kashmir.
