Barcelona Target Coutinho 'Definitively' Not For Sale - Liverpool

Coutinho Starts – Liverpool's Strongest Possible 4-3-3 XI vs Watford

Last we heard, Liverpool had knocked back a frankly exorbitant €100million bid from Barcelona to take Philippe Coutinho off their hands.

Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has submitted a transfer request, hours after the Premier League club released a statement saying he is not for sale.

Barcelona offered £72 million for the player in its first bid, which was rejected.

And at his press conference ahead of Liverpool's opening Premier League fixture at Watford, the manager saluted the ownership's communication over the Brazilian.

Liverpool completed their pre-season matches by beating Athletic Bilbao 3-1 in Dublin on Saturday, with Coutinho one of a number of players missing due to illness and niggles.

Sky Sports followed this with a tweet at 12.21pm claiming that the Brazilian had chose to hand in a transfer request, officially asking the club to let him go to Barcelona.

Barcelona has made two offers for Coutinho, the latest reportedly being 100 million euros.

Toshiba has averted delisting
Toshiba has reported a substantial $8.75 billion loss of income in the fiscal year ending March 2017, the company today announced. PwC also noted that losses at Toshiba's now bankrupt US nuclear arm Westinghouse Electric were not booked in a timely manner.

In a statement on Friday, the club's owners said its "definitive stance" was that "no offers will be considered".

LIVERPOOL fans have been forced to watch on in horror as the continuing transfer saga surrounding Philippe Coutinho has raged on.

Klopp also underlined his belief that FSG's statement was the end of the matter regarding Coutinho's future.

FSG's public stance is likely to encourage Barca to turn its attention towards signing Ousmane Dembele from Borussia Dortmund.

Many Liverpool fans are anxious their club have done relatively little in the transfer market, signing only three players, and so far failing to land their two most significant targets - RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita and Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk.

"That's what we tell these players: you've got it all in front of you, you are so lucky, look at the facilities and place where you go to work and learn".

"They already had an incredible team last season and then Jesus joined them and I thought, "Oh my goodness".
